When it comes to new and exciting ways to eat your veggies, today’s grocery stores have lots of options for you. From veggie tots and nuggets to cauliflower rice and pizza crust, all of these swaps seem like they could be a good way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But are they actually good for you?
Not always! In fact, there are a lot of things that are healthier than cauliflower pizza, like meals full of whole foods.
What Are Whole Foods?
Whole foods are foods that have been processed or refined as little as possible and are free from additives or other artificial substances. In contrast, these new vegetable replacements, like veggie nuggets or tots, are often processed with tons of hidden additives and unhealthy ingredients. For example, while a cauliflower pizza crust might be lower in carbs than a traditional pizza crust, it’s most likely loaded with extra fat and calories, even before you add on any of your toppings!
If you’re worried your healthy eating train has been thrown off the tracks, don’t worry. We’ve got some great recipes that are healthier than cauliflower pizza, and just as tasty!

When it comes to Tommy’s products, we don’t believe in hiding veggies. That’s why each of our bags is filled with lightly seasoned vegetables that were flash-frozen at their peak, and nothing more. They’re the perfect addition to your whole food-filled plate.
