December holidays can be a crazy busy time, and we’re all looking for ideas for how we can do it all.

1. Save Time Before You Get Started
Here are a few ideas for saving time leading up to your holiday events and dinners:
Plan Your Menu Beforehand
Write out all of the appetizers, entrees, sides, sauces, and desserts ahead of time. Make sure you have your recipes printed out or on your phone or tablet for easy access.
Gather The Ingredients
Based on your menu and recipes, create a complete shopping list. Last-minute trips to the store can take a great deal of time and tempt you to buy unnecessary items. Sticking to your shopping list will not only save you time, but will also help you to reduce food waste.
Prep What You Can in Advance
Think about what you could do the day (or week) before. Tasks like making sauces and glazes, and assembling casseroles, can be done in advance. Chopping and peeling vegetables can also be done the day before, or, better yet, you can save the time by using Tommy’s frozen veggies – they taste great on their own or in any of the recipes listed below.
2. Save Time With Tommy’s Easy Appetizers & Salads
Root Fusion Salad
Roast Tommy’s Root Fusion in the oven (easy to follow directions are on the package), then chill in the refrigerator for half an hour. Once chilled, toss with spinach leaves or your favorite dark leafy greens and drizzle a bit of your favorite salad dressing.
Asparagus and Kale Tart
Everyone loves puff pastry, and this simple recipe yields gourmet results! Using sour cream (or a non-dairy alternative), mustard, and spices along with Tommy’s Asparagus and Kale (still frozen) these tarts can be made in advance and then baked before serving. You’ll be the most popular person at the party when you show up with a tray of these!
